‘OLD BREAD’ UPCYCLING.
A VERSATILE & DELICIOUS ADDITION TO ANY SALAD OR SOUP!
INGREDIENTS:`
2 CUPS CUBED BREAD (EG. FRENCH BREAD, TURKISH BREAD, SOURDOUGH. NOT SLICED)
4 TBS OLIVE OIL
2 GARLIC CLOVES (MINCED OR 1X TSP POWDERED)
SMALL HANDFUL OF HERBS (DRY OR FRESH E.G. PARSLEY, THYME, CHIVES, SAGE, ROSEMARY.)
½ TSP SALT
UTENSILS:
CHOPPING BOARD, GARLIC CRUSH, BREAD KNIFE, SHARP KNIFE, TEASPOON, FRYING PAN, WOODEN SPOON, GLASS JAR.
METHOD:
CUT THE BREAD INTO SLICES, THEN INTO CUBES.
PLACE BREAD INTO A PREHEATED FRYING PLAN, WITH THE OLIVE OIL.
ADD THE GARLIC, HERBS AND SALT TO TASTE.
TURN EVERY MINUTE TO ENSURE THE BREAD IS COOKED EVENLY AND NOT BURNING.
WHEN GOLDEN BROWN, REMOVE FROM HEAT AND SET ASIDE TO COOL.
STORAGE:
KEEP IN AN AIRTIGHT GLASS JAR. STAYS CRUNCHY FOR 1-2 DAYS.

CRUSH THE CROUTONS TO MAKE CRUNCHY BREADCRUMBS.
