WAFFLES

INGREDIENTS:

2 CUPS SELF RAISING FLOUR
1 ½ – 2 CUPS MILK
2 TSP VANILLA ESSENCE
2 EGGS
¼ CUP SUGAR
½ CUP MELTED BUTTER
LARGE PINCH OF SALT
*
TOPPINGS:
SPRINKLE OF ICING SUGAR
MAPLE SYRUP
CHOC SPREAD
FRESH FRUIT

UTENSILS:

*WAFFLE MACHINE*, LARGE MIXING BOWL, MEASURING CUP, TEASPOON, MANUAL WHISK, CHEF’S SPOON, PLATE, SEIVE (DUSTING OF ICING SUGAR)

METHOD:

TURN ON THE WAFFLE MACHINE (SEE LIGHT COME ON)
MELT THE BUTTER IN A PAN OR IN THE MICROWAVE.
ADD ALL THE INGREDIENTS INTO MIXING BOWL, STIRING AFTER EACH ADDITION.
WHISK UNTIL THE BATTER IS SMOOTH.  (THE BATTER SHOULD BE A LITTLE THICKER THAN PANCAKE BATTER)
USING THE CHEF’S SPOON (OR SERVING SPOON) ADD A THIN LAYER OF WAFFLE BATTER INTO THE PREHEATED WAFFLE MAKER.  
AFTER 1-2 MINUTES THE WAFFLE SHOULD BE GOLDEN AROUND THE EDGES. CAREFULLY REMOVE WAFFLE AND REPEAT WITH MORE BATTER MIXTURE.
