MANGO LASSIE 

FROM PUNJAB, INDIA. LASSIE WAS ORIGINALLY A SAVOURY DRINK MADE FROM YOGURT, WATER AND SALT, TO KEEP MAINTAIN HYDRATION IN THE HOT WEATHER. THIS RECIPE IS A SWEETER AND TASIER VERSION!

INGREDIENTS 
1 ½ CUPS CHOPPED MANGO (FRESH OR FROZEN)
1 CUP PLAIN YOGURT
½ CUP MILK
3X TBSP MAPLE SYRUP
¼ TSP CARDAMON POWDER
PINCH OF SAFFRON (IF YOU HAVE IT!)
HANDFUL OF ICE CUBES

GARNISH WITH: CARDAMON POWDER, CRUSHED PISTACHIO NUTS, SOME STRANDS OF SAFFRON OR A MINT LEAF.

UTENSILS:
ELECTRIC BLENDER, DRINKING GLASS OR MASON JAR, KNIFE, MEASURING CUP & SPOONS, REUSABLE STRAW.

METHOD:
MIX THE INGREDIENTS IN A BLENDER, STARTING WITH THE LIQUIDS.
AFTER ABOUT ONE MINUTE, WHEN THERE ARE NO MORE LUMPS, POUR INTO 4X GLASSES. 
ADD THE TOPPINGS OF YOUR CHOICE. 
USE A BIG BAMBOO (OR ANY REUSABLE) STRAW!

RECIPE ALTERNATIVE: EXCLUDE THE MILK AND PUT IN THE FREEZER AND YOU HAVE YOURSELF A MANGO, FRO-YO!
